Job Description:

Engineering Lead (1 UIS, 1 TSS)

We are ready now to lead the transformation of the nation's brand-new air traffic control system-an ambitious initiative to enhance safety, improve reliability and security, reduce outages, decrease the total cost of ownership, and prepare the aviation system for the future by replacing aging infrastructure with modern technologies and state-of-the-art facilities.

Successful candidates will have proven experience in one of the following roles:

Key Responsibilities:

Lead all engineering activities for the Facilities Team under the BNATCS, ensuring alignment with FAA requirements, schedules, and program objectives.

Develop and manage detailed design engineering documents for construction/installation activities.

Coordinate across functional domains (engineering, operations, training, logistics, and support) to ensure seamless integration.

Serve as the primary interface with Implementation leads for the readiness and execution of engineering tasks.

Oversee design, review, change management, training, and activities to support implementation.

Monitor progress and provide regular updates to leadership and the FAA.

Identify issues, risks, and resource gaps; drive resolution and escalate when necessary.

Ensure all design related activities meet FAA safety, standards, compliance, and performance standards.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline.

7-12+ years of experience in engineering discipline.

Prior experience in engineering for projects that are national airspace or air traffic operations related.

Demonstrated experience working with FAA systems, programs, or stakeholders.

Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional Engineer

PMP or PgMP certification

Salary Range: $128,700.00 - $231,700.00
