Job Responsibilities

 

We are seeking a highly experienced S/4HANA Expert to support a major Utilities client during a significant SAP S/4HANA transformation.

The role serves as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Supply Chain function, ensuring operational needs are accurately represented and effectively integrated into the new S/4HANA environment.

This position plays a critical liaison role between the Supply Chain business and the central SAP project team, bridging technical delivery with practical business requirements in a multi-service utility environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the key S/4HANA functional expert and trusted advisor for the Supply Chain organization.
  • Collaborate with the SAP project team to ensure business processes and requirements are reflected in system design, configuration, implementation.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on Supply Chain processes within the S/4HANA framework.
  • Support stakeholder engagement across business, IT, leadership, and external partners.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to maximize the value of the S/4HANA implementation.
  • Help refine roles, responsibilities, and governance structures as needed during the transformation.
  • Track and report on relevant milestones, deliverables, and key performance indicators.

 

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years’ hands-on SAP S/4HANA implementations, optimizations, or support, with strong emphasis on Supply Chain modules.
  • Demonstrated experience working in the utilities sector, preferably in multi-service (electric and gas) environments.
  • Proven track record of successfully supporting large-scale ERP transformations from a business operations perspective.
  • Deep functional knowledge of S/4HANA Supply Chain capabilities (Procurement, Inventory Management, Logistics, and integration points).
  • Strong understanding of S/4HANA architecture, best practices, and migration considerations.
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into clear system requirements and solutions.

 

  • SAP S/4HANA certification.
  • certifications (PMP, Agile, Six Sigma, etc.) are a plus.
  • Experience with multiple S/4HANA implementations in utility or asset-intensive industries.
  • Prior consulting or advisory background supporting business transformations.
  • Demonstrated success working in complex, cross-functional environments.
