Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned L4 Data Center Technician to join our enterprise team focused on large-scale GPU deployments. This role demands deep expertise in troubleshooting and maintaining high-performance computing infrastructure within a dynamic data center environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute decommissioning tasks including physical removal of network cables and DBD components (no scanning required).
  • Run, label, and stage power and networking cables according to established protocols.
  • Follow detailed procedures for hardware installation, diagnostics, troubleshooting, replacement, and decommissioning under the guidance of Data Center Technician Leads.
  • Perform basic hardware startups and shutdowns using written instructions, checklists, and standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct physical audits of data center assets to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Monitor systems for equipment failures or performance issues and respond to error messages appropriately.
  • Assist developers and analysts in testing and debugging new programs.
  • Operate software tools (e.g., spreadsheets, reporting tools) to manipulate data and generate reports.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (Associate's degree in computer programming or related field preferred).
  • Minimum 7 years of hands-on data center experience.
  • Solid understanding of computer hardware, servers, and components.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% to data center sites across the U.S.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with GPU infrastructure and enterprise-scale deployments.
  • Familiarity with cable management and hardware staging.
  • Strong problem-solving and customer service orientation.

Additional Information:

  • Candidates must be open to working at all Milwaukee-based data center locations.
  • Travel will be required to support other data center sites nationwide once the team is fully ramped up.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $50.00/hr.
