Title: Consultant - Senior Mechanical Engineer
Type: 3+ Month Contract (potential for extension)
Location: Prefer local to Greensboro, NC but will consider remote candidates based on experience
Pay: $100+/hr (flexible to go higher depending on experience)

Job Description:
Title: Consultant - Senior Mechanical Engineer
Type: 3+ Month Contract (potential for extension)
Location: Prefer local to Greensboro, NC but will consider remote candidates based on experience
Pay: $100+/hr (flexible to go higher depending on experience)
- Responsible for difficult and complex design projects including filter housings, filter elements, pressure bypass valves, and check valves for both fixed and rotary wing aircraft hydraulic, lubrication, and fuel systems.
- Employ the use of FEA and CFD simulation software to ensure optimal design.
- May be involved in quotation, design, analysis, and final testing and customer approval.
- Collaborate with Sales in developing cost baseline for products and developing pricing models for new product.
- Work closely with customer technical leads in developing requirements, accomplishing project deliverables, and maintaining project schedules.
- Responsible for both aftermarket and OEM design projects including commercial and military products.
- Utilize Solidworks 3D CAD or CREO software to develop models, prove concepts, and create detailed drawings of components and assemblies.
Requirements
- Hydraulic systems expertise (valves, sensors, actuators).
- Filter or Filtration experience
- Experience with pumping systems and hydraulic actuation.
- Aerospace background preferred; training possible but limited.
