PMO (Mid to Senior Level)
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid 3 days onsite mandatory)
Duration: 6 12 months
Reports To: Senior Project Manager
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced PMO professional. This is a hands-on role requiring a proactive individual who can manage critical PMO deliverables and drive structure across multiple complex workstreams.
Candidates must have demonstrable experience as a PMO on large-scale, complex change programs, ideally within trading and/or refining businesses. This role is not suited for someone looking to stretch into PMO work we are looking for professionals who have done this before.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain confidentiality of project information.
- Develop a strong understanding of the project and business context to effectively create materials, document meetings, and support project execution.
- Develop and manage program/project plans, templates, and governance structures.
- Establish meeting cadences and coordinate logistics, agendas, and stakeholder inputs.
- Prepare and support governance meetings (e.g., steering committee, communications, project reviews, workstream updates).
- Track actions and follow up with owners to ensure timely closure.
- Establish and maintain Risk/Action/Issue/Decision (RAID) logs, ensuring proper escalation and mitigation.
- Manage MS Teams document structure, storage, and deliverable inventory.
- Support creation of project deliverables, reports, and presentations.
- Assist with stakeholder engagement and change management activities.
- Serve as an integrator across the team, ensuring alignment, progress tracking, and visibility of key issues.
Requirements:
- Proven track record as a PMO on multiple large-scale transformation programs.
- Big 4 consulting background
- Strong understanding of trading and/or refining operations.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
- Willingness to be onsite in Houston 3 days per week.
