    A venue/hospitaltiy company is seeking an experienced cloud solutions architect who has expertise to modernize and consolidate IT infrastructure, automate workloads, and pursue next-generation innovation. Based in Los Angeles



    The ideal candidate will have a firm grasp of emerging technologies, platforms, and applications and an ability to customize them to help our business become more secure and efficient.



    Extensive knowledge of cloud maintenance and advanced industry knowledge are essential to keep us on the cutting edge. The cloud engineer will have an immediate impact on the day-to-day efficiency of IT operations and an ongoing impact on growth. MUST KNOW MICROSOFT AZURE



    This position reports to the Director of Information Technology.




    Responsibilities:




    • Develop and implement technical efforts to design, build, and deploy applications and services across various enterprise cloud platforms
    • Work in tandem with our IT leadership to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company
    • Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance
    • Provide guidance, thought leadership, and mentorship to developer teams to build their cloud competencies
    • Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards and thoughtful design
    • Manage cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines
    • Implement and support key cloud integrations and automations, between various business platforms
    • Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle for cloud solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance
    • Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix, and document problems, and implement preventive measures
    • Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training when necessary
    • Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, with an ability to see and solve issues before they affect business productivity
    • Collaborate across the IT organization to define and apply enterprise level standards in solution architecture.
    • Participate in business and technical requirements gathering
    • Manage assignments and track progress against agreed upon timelines.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and customer representatives.


    Requirements


    • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in computer science or information technology
    • 3+ experience in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions, including VMware Cloud, Citrix, AWS, Microsoft Azure & Azure Active Directory
    • Certification in leading cloud solutions (Microsoft, AWS)
    • Knowledge of cloud-based solutions for data migration
    • Experience in Microsoft's Azure Cloud, including compute, services for infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), software as a service (SaaS) and serverless.
    • Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work
    • Excellent knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends
    • Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complicated cloud reports to management and other IT development partners
    • Understanding of and experience with the five pillars of a well-architected framework
    • Experience in Microsoft's Azure Cloud, including compute, services for infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), software as a service (SaaS) and serverless.
    • Knowledge of leading cloud HRIS (ADP), Accounting (NetSuite, Sage, Celigo) and CRM (Salesforce. Kore) platforms is a plus
