Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Duration: 18 Months
Clearance Required: YES (County Live scan)
Certification Required: California Class C drivers License
The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing general clerical and administrative support to the Trauma Prevention Partnerships (TPP) Project Manager and project team, including preparing supply orders and processing inventory and invoices, preparing memos, agendas, and other documents, scheduling meetings, taking meeting minutes, processing forms for team members, data entry, supporting internal and external communication efforts, and other tasks as needed.
- Professional understanding of general health disparities and the unique impact of COVID-19 on communities of color, lowincome communities, and other highly impacted communities throughout LA County.
Ability to maintain a professional, positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Highly proficient in various computer programs, including Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and other specialized programs.
Ability to type at the rate of at least 40 net words per minute.
Excellent customer service, written and oral communication, project organization, time management, and prioritization skills.
Ability to work well independently and with co-workers.
Ability to set and adhere to deadlines.
Ability to interact professionally with culturally diverse individuals during a time of crisis and distress.
Excellent critical thinking and judgment skills.
Windows-based laptop or desktop device with a speaker and microphone.
Reliable Wi-Fi/internet access.
- Three years office clerical experience involving answering phones, typing, and filing.
- A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
