    Job Description

    Linux Systems Administrator

    CSG is looking for a Linux Systems Administrator with an analytical mind and an in-depth understanding of managing multiple Cloud Hosting environments. The Linux Systems Administrator is expected to have attention to detail, outstanding problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    To ensure success, the Linux Systems Administrator must display an excellent understanding of Linux operating systems, cPanel, Plesk, Firewalls, Web-Proxy, DNS, and various languages such as Bash, Python, and PHP. Top candidates will be comfortable troubleshooting website issues all the way down to the OS level.

    Linux Systems Administrator Responsibilities:

    • Managing and patching cloud hosted Linux servers.
    • Manage cloud hosted DNS, WAF, and CDNs.
    • Working with a team, troubleshooting all website issues.
    • Ensuring that all hosting platforms are protected by enabling the appropriate security measures.
    • Updating HTML, CSS, and JavaScript regularly.
    • Conducting content audits to eliminate redundant and/or duplicate information.
    • Ensuring full compliance on the website with all laws and regulations.
    • Keeping up to date with industry best practices and monitoring competitor websites.

     Linux Systems Administrator Requirements:

    • A degree in computer science, IT, systems engineering, or related qualification.
    • 2+ years of work experience as a Linux Systems Administrator or equivalent position.
    • Knowledge of Linux, cPanel, Plesk, Adobe suite, Content Management Systems, and W3C Web standards.
    • Proficient in HTML, XHTML, CSS design, cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility, firewalls (functionality and maintenance), Access, MySQL and JavaScript.
    • Ability to troubleshoot website issues in a challenging environment.
    • Strong attention to detail with outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
    • Current Secret security clearance is desired or willingness to submit for a security clearance.

     

    Employee Status: Full-Time 

    Job Location: On site Herndon, Virginia. Remote telework is not available.

    Salary: Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
