Salesforce.com (SFDC) Architect Job Description

Overall Experience

  • Total IT Experience: 12 18 years, including a minimum of 9 years of hands-on Salesforce.com architecture, solution design, and development (Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning).
  • Strong experience in Salesforce Data Modeling.
  • Must have worked on at least 3 Health Cloud implementation projects, each with a minimum of 6 months duration.
  • Healthcare domain expertise is required experience in payer/insurance environments is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience with Omnistudio, LWC, and enterprise-scale system integrations.
  • Strong background in Experience Cloud implementations.
  • Must have prior experience working with U.S.-based clients and handling onsite offshore coordination.
  • Hands-on experience in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, and Salesforce administration/configuration, including reports and dashboards.
  • This role involves both architecting/solutioning responsibilities and hands-on coding.

Salesforce.com Certifications

  • Must Have:
    • Salesforce Platform Developer II certification
    • At least two Architect-stream certifications
  • Nice to Have:
    • Advanced Administrator (ADM301)
    • Consultant certifications (Sales Cloud / Service Cloud)
    • Omnistudio Consultant certification

Force.com Knowledge and Technical Expertise

  • Proven experience architecting and implementing Salesforce solutions from a development perspective.
  • Ability to guide and mentor programming teams in Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning development.
  • Experience in at least two large-scale Salesforce implementations (10,000+ users), performing technical solutioning and evaluating configuration vs. customization options.
  • Must have hands-on experience with Salesforce Lightning, including Aura framework and LWC development.
  • Strong working knowledge of OmniStudio.
  • Thorough understanding of Health Cloud data models and external objects.
  • Deep knowledge of compliance and interoperability standards HIPAA, HL7, and FHIR.
  • Preferred experience integrating Salesforce Health Cloud with EHR, EMR, Utilization and Care Management platforms, as well as member and provider portals.
  • Exposure to evaluating products/solutions in the healthcare payer and provider space.

Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Visualforce, Apex, Triggers, SOQL, JavaScript, and Eclipse IDE.
  • Ability to collaborate with Enterprise Architecture teams on Salesforce data modeling.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to propose multiple approaches to a given scenario.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce coding best practices and Apex limitations.
  • Expertise in Salesforce integration with external systems via SOAP/REST APIs, Bulk API, and Metadata API.
  • Experience with workflow rules, validation rules, approval processes, reports, and dashboards.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Boomi, Cast Iron, or Mulesoft, and Apex Data Loader.
  • Strong database development experience SQL, PL/SQL, schemas, and stored procedures.
  • Skilled in unit testing and test class development for positive/negative use cases.
  • Experience in production deployments using Change Sets, Eclipse, or ANT migration tool, including troubleshooting deployment errors.

Additional Skills (Good to Have)

  • Knowledge of HTML/HTML5, CSS, XML, AJAX, JQuery, and other JavaScript frameworks.
  • Object-oriented programming experience in J2EE/.NET platforms.
  • Experience with Salesforce mobile development (Salesforce1/VF Mobile), Heroku, Radian6, Analytics, or Einstein.
