Position: Senior Azure Databricks Engineer

Day to day:
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines in Azure Databricks using PySpark, SQL, and Delta Lake.
- Manage Lakehouse architecture, Delta tables, and performance tuning.
- Develop and orchestrate jobs and workflows via Databricks and ADF.
- Configure clusters for cost and performance efficiency.
- Implement security, RBAC, and CI/CD for Databricks deployments.
- Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline issues and cluster performance.
- Collaborate with data teams to enable scalable data access.
- Document best practices and mentor junior engineers.
Must haves:
- 10+ years of total work experience.
- Experience with Azure Databricks and Azure cloud services and solutions is a MUST.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer in a large-scale enterprise environment, with experience in the banking sector.
- In-depth knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing, microservices architecture, API management, and emerging technologies.
- Experience with EA tools like LeanIX, Ardoq is helpful.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary and Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is between $70 - $75 per hour. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
