Job Summary
The Aerospace Corporation's - Advanced Crypto Capabilities Department, is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer to help design, implement, assess, and deploy cyber solutions that defend our nation's most valuable assets in space. This position is a unique opportunity to get in at the beginning of a new department that already has a consistent track record of success. If you are motivated and looking for a place to learn cryptography, to make a make a relevant impact supporting customers in crypto security this is the job you are looking for. We are seeking a highly motivated cyber systems engineer supporting customers in crypto security, full spectrum cyber security, planning for COMSEC, and network security engineering and architecture knowledge. We are looking for strategic problem solvers with demonstrated experience, interest, and skills in network security and who have a desire to learn in the field of cyber security and cryptography.
This position will be a hybrid work model in the Albuquerque, NM area.

What You'll Be Doing
- Primary customers are various DoD and Intelligence Community space systems customers
- Perform research in the areas of cyber and network security
- Advise customers on cryptographic design and implementation
- Review network architecture designs identify dataflow and performance deficiencies
- Identify security vulnerabilities in various SW and HW platforms and be able to make recommended mitigations
- Leading or participating in projects involving one or more of the following areas: Cyber Resilience, COMSEC, Cryptographic equipment, secure network engineering, cyber system trade-off studies for various system designs or protocols, validation of network system requirements.
- Provide recommendations on network architectures and solutions based on technical performance evaluations
- Participate in special projects and research & development (R&D) projects to develop the next generation of Space and Ground network concepts, architectures, and technologies
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements: Engineering Specialist
- Possess undergraduate or graduate degree in Informational Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 8 or more years of years of Full spectrum cyber security experience
- Willing to travel approximately 10% of the time
- This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
- Network certifications that prove your knowledge and efficiencies in secure network engineering (i.e., Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Comptia Security +, Comptia Network +)
- A foundational understanding of computer networking fundamentals to include the TCP/IP model, packet structure as well as common ports and protocols.
- Ability to interact with clients to satisfy their goals and objectives

- 12 or more years of years of Full spectrum cyber security experience
