Job Title:  Software Test Engineer

Location:  Detroit, MI / Hybrid but candidates must reside in Michigan

Job Description:

Vital Tech Solutions is currently looking for an exciting, creative and talented Software Test Engineer to help our customers push forward by helping us in the following areas:

• Test Applications Software
• Develop throughout entire lifecycle including but not limited to:
• Requirements Analysis
• Embedded Software Testing 
• Software Unit Testing
• Software Defect Resolutions and Tracking 
• Perform Detailed Software Specifications and Requirements Authoring
• Develop both safety and non-safety critical components.
• Responsible for Full Life of SW Test procedures and documentation
• Demonstrate ownership of assigned tasks

Required Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or similar technical background
• 5 years of experience in Software Testing
• The Test Software Engineer should be familiar with C, Object Oriented Protocols, Embedded Software Testing and Communication Protocols including CAN and LIN.

Experience and Familiarity with the following Tools / Processes:

• Vector Tool chain (CANoe, CANapy, CANalyzer, etc)
• Embedded Software Debuggers / Emulators / Logic Analyzers / Function Generator / Oscilloscope
• iSystem Debuggers
• Python
• Software Lifecycle ALM
• Automotive SPICE

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Hardware Focused Computer Science Engineering or similar technical background
