Functional Skills
7 12+ years of experience in SAP Warranty Management (WTY).
Strong understanding of end-to-end after-sales and service processes.
Hands-on configuration experience in SAP WTY, SD, CS/SM.
Experience with S/4HANA Service, Advanced Returns Management (ARM), and Fiori apps is highly preferred.
Knowledge of warranty cost settlement, accounting flows, and integration with FI/CO.
Technical/Integration Skills
Ability to write detailed functional specifications for enhancements, BAPIs, BADIs, user exits, workflows, and interfaces.
Understanding IDocs, API integrations, and middleware (PI/PO, CPI).
Experience with SAP BRF+ for decision logic (optional but valuable). Role Overview:
The SAP Warranty Management Functional SME is responsible for designing, configuring, and supporting SAP Warranty Management processes within S/4HANA or ECC environments. This role combines deep functional knowledge of warranty processes with strong integration experience across logistics, finance, and after-sales service. The SME works closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and system integrators to ensure scalable, compliant, and efficient warranty operations.
Lead the design of end-to-end Warranty Management (SAP WTY) processes including claim creation, validation, pricing, settlement, and recovery.

Warranty Agreements & Contracts

Pricing, Labor Rates, and Reimbursement Logic
Define process flows and functional specifications for enhancements, workflows, and custom integrations.
Partner with business teams (Service, Aftermarket, Quality, Finance) to translate requirements into SAP solutions.
Recommend best-practice warranty models for manufacturing, automotive, industrial equipment, consumer goods, and high-tech industries.
Conduct fit-gap analysis, lead workshops, and prepare process design documents (PDD/FD).

Lead configuration of warranty claims categories, statuses, action profiles, settlement types, and workflows.
Develop test scripts, lead SIT/UAT, and manage defect resolution.
Support data migration for warranty claims, installed base, master data, pricing conditions, and service history.
Lead cutover activities related to warranty data, open claims, and master data readiness.
Deliver end-user training, SOP documentation, and hypercare support.
Ensure adoption of new warranty processes and help streamline dealer/partner workflows.
