Job Description

Job Title: Permitting Specialist 
Location: Akron, OH
Work Type: Onsite 5 Days per week 
Duration: 1 year
Hours: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week (start time flexible between 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, 30-minute unpaid lunch)


The Associate Records & Information Analyst will support the review and analysis of the client’s natural gas distribution system for potential construction and maintenance scenarios. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple data sources and software tools. It is a full-time onsite position located in Akron, OH.


Responsibilities

  • Create documentation to acquire required permits for distribution natural gas construction projects.

  • Create and organize the required documentation and assemble construction packets for contractors and field personnel.

  • Compile, track, and communicate the status of the above items on a location-specific scale as requested.

  • Research and evaluate existing records in multiple software and record systems for completeness and accuracy, and input data into company record systems and databases as required.

  • Coordinate activities on company projects utilizing engineering records, field book, and mapping information.


Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to assess and reprioritize tasks to accomplish weekly deliverables

Preferred:

  • SAP and GIS experience

  • Knowledge of local and state permitting processes

  • Experience in underground utility, natural gas, or civil engineering environments
