About the Role
We are seeking a highly driven Supply Chain Manager Stamping to support a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for leading the supply chain strategy, supplier performance, and material readiness for stamping components essential to vehicle production. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and external supplier partners to ensure uninterrupted supply while maintaining world-class cost, quality, and delivery performance.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Strategy & Planning
Develop and execute end-to-end supply chain strategies for stamping commodities (body-in-white, closures, chassis stamping parts, etc.).
Lead long-term capacity planning with suppliers to support production ramps and new program launches.
Analyze cost structures, negotiate commercial terms, and drive cost-reduction initiatives.
Supplier Management
Evaluate, select, and onboard stamping suppliers based on capability, capacity, quality, and cost criteria.
Manage supplier KPIs including OTD, quality metrics, and responsiveness.
Conduct quarterly business reviews to drive performance improvements and mitigate supply risks.
Resolve escalations related to capacity, tooling, logistics, and supplier quality.
Operational Execution
Ensure material availability to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
Partner with production control and manufacturing teams to resolve shortages and disruptions.
Lead cross-functional activities during NPI (New Product Introduction) to ensure supplier readiness.
Oversee sourcing, purchasing, contract management, and global logistics for stamping commodities.
Risk Management & Continuous Improvement
Identify supply chain risks and develop contingency plans, including alternate sourcing.
Drive procurement process improvements using automation, data analytics, and best practices.
Deliver cost efficiencies while aligning with sustainability and ESG goals.
Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain, Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field.
7+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or operations (automotive or high-volume manufacturing preferred).
Strong knowledge of stamping, tooling, die design, or metal forming highly preferred.
Technical & Professional Skills
Proven experience managing complex global suppliers and high-volume commodities.
Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier performance management skills.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and understand manufacturing processes.
Strong analytical skills; proficiency in Excel, SQL, ERP/MRP systems.
Experience with NPI, PPAP, APQP, or similar quality processes.
Soft Skills
Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
Ability to manage ambiguity and solve complex supply chain challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
Master s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or MBA.
