The Financial Systems Accounting Manager will join the Corporate Accounting team and report to the Corporate Controller. This position is a highly visible role and will serve as one of the Oracle EPM administrators, provide Plex ERP systems support and be responsible to support processes related to consolidations, planning and financial reporting. This person will be responsible for developing, designing, maintaining, and supporting the Oracle EPM applications (FCCS, EPBCS, FDM, SmartView, reporting, etc.) and ensuring the integrity of the financial reporting applications. Acts as liaison with information technology, corporate finance, and operations accounting departments to enhance the financial reporting and consolidation systems. Manage projects related to Oracle EPM applications and other processes as required. In addition, this position will assist in month-end accounting close activities and assigned special projects.

Manages system metadata, oversee the monthly change management process from inception to completion, including collection of change management requests, collection of all necessary documentation and approvals, and communication notifying user community of implemented metadata changes. Manages the maintenance and execution of business rules, calculations, data copies, and moves.

Develops and maintains financial reports using SmartView Excel grids and other reporting tools.

Maintains user security for Oracle EPM and manages change processes for user security in accordance with established protocols.

Prepares and maintains user documentation and training materials and trains and supports users in both corporate and operations accounting and finance. Create user manual(s) and best practices to share with the organization.

Aid in the facilitation of the global financial close consolidation process, working with Corporate Accounting, Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis, and Tax to bring the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close process to its completion and planning/forecasting cycles to ensure system responsiveness and data integrity to meet user needs.  Supports and manages the upload and processing of actual, forecast, and plan data to Oracle EPM.

Performs data integrity analysis to ensure appropriateness of data uploads for all applicable financial systems.

Works with legal and tax departments to ensure the legal entity structure is accurately setup and maintained within the system for accurate consolidation reporting.

Ensures accuracy of foreign currency reporting through appropriate system setup. Works directly with all foreign consolidating entities to ensure all accounts are translated in accordance with US GAAP.

Performs assigned accounting month-end closing activities.

Reviews, documents, and maintains SOX controls related to the accounting system and develops appropriate SOX controls and documentation. Development of reports for SOX and external auditors as needed.

Participate in special projects and performs other duties as required.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.

5+ years minimum job-related experience in consolidation systems such as (Oracle EPM, Oracle HFM, Planful, One-Stream).

Ability to understand and communicate the technical systems requirements and business functional requirements and provide solutions to business partners.

Responsible for EPM system administration of metadata changes for the business.

Responsible for managing approval process for all metadata changes.

Responsible for updating the Accounting Share point site after month-end close with the latest EPM metadata members, structures and Plex to EPM mapping tables.

Create, maintain and update financial reports and forms.  Gather and analyze business requirements, recommend best practices, and determine the course of action to implement the technical solutions.

Troubleshoot systems errors and work collaboratively with business stakeholders to resolve in a timely manner.

Must have excellent communication skills and a strong working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and consolidation accounting.

Ability to manage multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency while meeting deadlines and solving problems.

Previous experience in supporting a global manufacturing organization is preferred.

Experience with the consolidation process, including elimination entries and consolidating international entities with foreign currencies.

Demonstrated technical knowledge of EPM administration and ability to translate knowledge and solutions to stakeholders in the business.

Excellent communication, critical, analytical and interpersonal skills.

Organization skills to anticipate, plan, organize and self-monitor workload.

Ability to work extended hours during the monthly, quarterly and year-end close process.

Proficiency in EPM tools, MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
