Job Description:
Technical Delivery Manager/Product Owner - Hybrid in Multiple Cities - W2 Only
Candidates must be currently located within commute distance of one of the following client sites - Kennesaw, GA - Richmond, VA - Plano, TX - Chicago, IL
*Candidate must be able to work on the clients W2 without an employer or vendor*
*Candidates must be able to work onsite in one of the client locations from day 1*
A Technical Delivery Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of complex technical projects, ensuring seamless collaboration between cross-functional teams, and driving the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet business objectives. They serve as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating requirements into actionable plans and fostering effective communication throughout the project lifecycle. Technical Delivery Managers play a crucial role in maintaining project timelines, managing risks, and ensuring adherence to industry best practices and organizational standards. The delivery manager manages the project from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, risk management, resource allocation, and communication with stakeholders. They are also responsible for tracking progress and adjusting as needed to keep the project on track. A delivery manager is responsible for successfully delivering a project or product. They work with a team of developers, designers, and other professionals to ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the technical delivery of projects, ensuring that all project deliverables are met within agreed upon timelines and budget
Ensure that all project documentation is complete and accurate
Monitor project progress and identify any potential risks or issues
Liaise with external suppliers and contractors to ensure that they are meeting their obligations
Prepare reports on project progress for senior management
Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, timelines, and resource allocations
Coordinate and lead project meetings, status updates, and stakeholder presentations
Analyzing project performance metrics and identify areas for process optimization
Facilitate the resolution of technical issues and escalate concerns to appropriate stakeholders
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project deliverables with business objectives
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, security protocols, and organizational policies
Plan, track and proactively manage strategic and customer projects
Required Skills:
Bachelors degree in Business /IT and/or equivalent work experience
5 or more years of Project Management experience
PMP Certification
3+ years experience managing large, complex, cross-functional IT projects
3+ years experience utilizing a structured project management methodology and formal tools/approaches
Strategic and tactical planning on Cloud
Firm grasp of IT infrastructure and operations best practices within an ITIL framework
Experience of network concepts and technology including WAN, LAN and IP network principles
Experience of applying defined security principles within a project or solution deployment
Hands-on experience in open-source software development and web technologies
Hands-on experience of agile project management
Desired Skills:
Expertise in project estimation, planning, tracking, scope control, risk/issues management status reporting
Experience with SQL and other data tools
Horizon toolset familiarity
Change Management familiarity
