Summary:

The Data Center Lead manages the Data Center Operations & Application Development team and is responsible for all servers, systems, software, applications, infrastructure, development, configuration, security & support across the datacenter.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:
  • The duties include planning, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, & managing all servers & applications during or after-work hours.
  • Works in a data warehouse environment that includes data design, database architecture, metadata & repository creation.
  • Translates business needs into long-term architecture solutions, assesses customer needs, & implements improved configurations for customer needs.
  • Defines, designs, & builds dimensional databases.
  • Responsible for developing data warehousing blueprints, evaluating hardware & software platforms, & integrating systems.
  • Evaluates reusability of current data for additional analyses.
  • Conducts data cleaning to rid the system of old, unused, or duplicate data.
  • Reviews object & data models & the metadata repository to structure the data for better management & quicker access. Includes development and/or maintenance of the metadata environment.
  • Provides high-level subject matter proficiency for each task.
  • Provides advanced technical knowledge & analysis of highly specialized applications & operational environment, expert-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, training, & implementation advice on complex problems requiring the highest-level knowledge of the subject matter for proper implementation.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • BA/BS from an accredited college or university w/ a minimum of 5+ Yrs of EXP, -or- Substitute w/ 9+ Yrs of progressive EXP in serving as a data center system administrator.
  • Training, Certifications, EXP, & Clearance Requirements:
    • IAT Level II (CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) Certification & applicable CE/OS Certification.
  • EXP leading a team, maintaining a high availability datacenter, Amazon, Microsoft, or Google cloud services, and VMware vSphere platform.
  • Extensive EXP in both application development/sustainment as well as operational support for large, highly scalable applications.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Secret Clearance

Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $130,760.00 to $147,105.00 annually.
