The largest and most recognized company within the enetertainment industry for live events and online ticketing is urgently seeking a a Mid-Sr. SAP ABAP Developer to join a growing team for a long-term contract-to-hire position in Los Angeles CA.
The ABAP Developer will primarily be responsible for enhancements required to support SAP application development. The SAP ABAP developer will plan, design, develop, test, coordinate, and implement SAP business application programs across an enterprise-wide system. The developer will also analyze business, functional, and related issues to formulate and develop new and/or modified programs.
This is a Hybrid/Remote position in the Los Angelas office 1-2 times a month.

The ABAP Developer will primarily be responsible for enhancements required to support SAP application development. The SAP ABAP developer will plan, design, develop, test, coordinate, and implement SAP business application programs across an enterprise-wide system. The developer will also analyze business, functional, and related issues to formulate and develop new and/or modified programs.
This is a Hybrid/Remote position in the Los Angelas office 1-2 times a month.
Responsibilities include:
- Creating technical design specifications to ensure compliance with the functional teams.
- Writing code using SAP's ABAP including extending the base code with user exits, report development, ABAP Objects, enhancement Points and custom programs.
- Writing SQL queries to extract data from multiple table,aggregate, store and reconcile to views.
- Analyzing older programs to ensure optimal performance and out of the box thinking for performance tuning.
- Serving as a key member of the SAP Core team to provide support to the business community for SAP in the ABAP Technical Development area.
- Performing production support and enhancements for new projects and all functional areas within SAP.
- Providing technical knowledge, system design techniques, methodologies, tools and standards utilized in the information technology and business environments.
- Providing training and guidance to offshore technical team members.
- 5 to 7 years of applicable experience.
- Extensive working knowledge of the SAP ABAP Workbench, ABAP programming language, SAP Data Dictionary, Smart Forms, SAP Scripts, and SAP design and coding techniques.
- Comfortable using BDT, BAPI, BADI, enhancement points, user exits and routines.
- Create SQL queries to retrieve data from multiple tables.
- Experience In creating inbound and outbound file transfers.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP modules (SD, FI/CO, MM).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Mentors team members in technology, architecture and delivery of applications.
- Experience working on production break fix including report bug fixes.
- Successful teamwork experience and demonstrated leadership abilities are required.
- Proven ability to transfer knowledge and stay aware of current trends and technical advancements.
- Ability to articulate and present different points-of-views on various technologies.
- Knowledge of SAP ICM is a plus.
- API's development knowledge is an added advantage.
- Experience in object oriented programming a plus.
- 50-60/hr Pat rate with opportunity for overtime pay
