The Senior Consultant, Tax Transformation & Automation ("Senior Consultant") supports project delivery by working on tasks related to scope definition, requirements gathering, process design, configuration, and client engagement. The Senior Consultant collaborates with senior stakeholders across tax, finance, and IT functions, helping to implement automation and transformation initiatives. This role requires hands-on involvement in project execution, including the development of deliverables such as functional and technical documentation, workflow designs, and system configurations. The Senior Consultant also plays a key role in supporting client relationships and maintaining high-quality project outcomes.

This position requires the ability to manage multiple tasks across different projects and industries while leveraging expertise in tax/accounting, technology, and change management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

People:
  • Collaborates with managers and senior leaders to execute project work plans.
  • Supports project teams in tax transformation and automation initiatives.
  • Assists in coaching junior staff by sharing technical knowledge and best practices.

Client:
  • Works closely with clients to gather business and technical requirements for tax transformation initiatives.
  • Assists in process mapping, system configurations, and automation implementation.
  • Supports the preparation of client deliverables, including process documentation, functional requirements, technical designs, and system workflows.
  • Helps in tracking project progress against established timelines and budgets.
  • Responds to client inquiries and provide technical support as needed.

Value:
  • Assists in the execution of tax transformation projects, ensuring high-quality delivery.
  • Conducts data analysis and supports the implementation of automation tools such as RPA, Alteryx, or Power Apps.
  • Documents project methodologies, key decisions, and client feedback.
  • Supports business development activities by contributing to proposals and client presentations.


Education and Experience:
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in tax transformation, tax technology, or automation-related projects.
  • Prior experience with tax/accounting systems, ERP solutions, automation tools (RPA, Alteryx, Power Apps), and data processing technologies is highly desirable.


Computer Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Visio, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems and tax software solutions.
  • Knowledge of automation tools and data processing technologies is a plus.
