Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Business Analyst to join Risk Technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SQL, data mapping, Data modeling and data profiling, with a deep understanding of credit risk processes. This role involves working closely with stakeholders across Risk, Data, and Technology teams to ensure data integrity, support risk initiatives, and drive strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document requirements related to credit risk data and analytics.
- Perform data mapping between source systems and target models, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct data profiling to assess data quality, identify anomalies, and support remediation efforts.
- Write complex SQL queries to extract, analyze, and validate data from various databases.
- Work with IT and data engineering teams to define data transformation rules and ensure proper implementation.
- Create and maintain documentation including data dictionaries, process flows, and business rules.
- Lead or support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) for data-related projects.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to improve credit risk strategies.
- Support the development and enhancement of credit risk models by providing high-quality data inputs.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, preferably in credit risk.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets.
- Hands-on experience with data mapping, data profiling, and data quality tools.
- Solid understanding of credit risk concepts, including exposure, PD, LGD, and risk-weighted assets.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as Basel III, IFRS 9, or CCAR.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Knowledge of data governance and metadata management.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) and big data technologies.
- Experience with Python or R for data analysis is a plus.
