Job Title: Director of Client Development - AML & Financial Crimes

Location: Iselin, NJ (Central Jersey)

Type: Full-Time

Department: Sales

Position Objective:
This position is responsible for proactively identifying and developing sales opportunities for the company’s products and services. This position is also responsible for working with the company’s Sales and Marketing teams to develop sales and marketing strategies as well as identify and assist with developing new products and services.

• Identify and respond to requests for bid and proposal opportunities
• Devise selling techniques to drive the business forward and create a large volume of prospects and inquiries
• Lead and coordinate all aspects of the sales process to guide prospect opportunities to successful close
• Manage a sales pipeline of pending opportunities and outstanding engagement agreements
• Professionally and confidently present the company’s offerings, services, and pricing to financial services industry prospects and clients
• Negotiate engagement terms with prospects and clients
• Provide support to the company’s consulting team to amend revenue and budgets as necessary for successful completion of projects
• Assist with the company’s marketing efforts, including participation in conferences and creation and maintenance of marketing materials
• Assist with the identification and development of new product and service offerings
• Improve sales performance by training and familiarizing other company personnel with service offerings, CRM system, and sales process
• Partner with company executives on business development priorities and key sales initiatives
• Meet or exceed sales and other business development goals
• Enhance company industry partner relationships to generate additional sales
• Understand the market, competition, and trends for compliance services
• Perform ad-hoc work/special projects as necessary to support company on various client and internal initiatives

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred – major or concentration in business, finance, or related field preferred
Previous sales experience and experience with the regulatory compliance or financial services industries preferred
Relevant regulatory knowledge preferred (knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, Investment Company Act of 1940, Securities Exchange Act of 1934, Commodity Exchange Act of 1936, Commodity Futures Trading Commission Act of 1974, Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (FSMA), Markets in Financial Instrument Directive (MiFID), and the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD))
• Entrepreneurial attitude with the proven ability to negotiate, influence, deal effectively and successfully close sales
• Astute in identifying and exploiting new business opportunities within specific niches of the market
• Experience developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies for market creation, penetration, and protection
• Demonstrated professional integrity
• Dependable, flexible, and adaptable to new initiatives and changing client needs
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, small-team environment
• Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize effectively
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and clients
• Highly motivated and goal oriented; proactive in one’s own education and career progression; volunteers for and shows initiative on both internal and external projects and tasks
• Dedicated to upholding company’s high quality standards and customer service focus
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Acrobat, and the Internet
• Willing to travel – up to 50 percent
• Available for client work and/or travel Monday through Friday on a general basis, including outside of normal business hours and/or weekends
