Job Description

Desktop Technician – Windows 10 Deployment Project

  • Candidate must possess a strong knowledge of tools used for a remote, enterprise deployment of the Windows 7 & 10 Operating System (OS) with Office 2010/2013.
  • Must have Apple iOS
  • He/she must have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The selected candidate will aid in identifying and completing assigned project tasks and provide routine status updates to meet project milestones in a timely manner and must be able to work in a collaborative team environment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Windows Environment

  1. Assists with the following project:
    1. Deployment of the Windows 10 operating system and application platforms.
      1. OS deployment with SCCM and Microsoft Deployment Technology.
      2. Assist with process development and user and technical documentation with adherence to change management processes.
  2. Ensures that all tickets that are opened for deployments are all updated in a timely manner with the appropriate detail.
  3. Deploy new software and upgrades to software using an automated distribution system.

Decision-Making Authority/Accountability Level:

  • Performs relatively complex work under general supervision and exercises limited independent judgment in accordance with specified policies and guidelines.

Minimum Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:

  • Demonstrated proficiency with computer software including current Windows Operating System.
  • Experience with Microsoft 2010/2013 products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, Project, and Internet Explorer.
  • Intermediate to advanced level knowledge and understanding of hardware products, commercial off the shelf application and diagnostic and troubleshooting utilities.
  • Requires excellent understanding of Windows 7 and 10.
  • Requires basic to intermediate understanding of networking and security practices.
  • Must be able to diagnose and analyze complex workstation problems.
  • Outstanding customer support/service skills as well as communication skills are essential.

Other Information:

  • Must have the ability to move and install equipment.
  • Self-motivated and directed; work well with a wide range of users
