Job is in headquartered in Reston, VA. Candidate may work out of their home if near a target area for Oceus Networks.  Ideal locations: San Diego, CA; Southern Pines, NC; Washington, DC Metro Area.

 

Travel Percentage: 50%

 

OVERALL MISSION:

Oceus Networks is looking for a Sales Account Manager to focus on the following customers: Navy / Marine Corp.  Candidate is required to develop the market plan for the specific account domain which is aligned to the strategic plan of Oceus Networks.  The successful candidate is responsible for developing the account plan, call plan and fiscal year targets.

 

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ideal candidate will provide market strategies to grow and capture new business in markets desired by Oceus.  Will produce and execute business plans within the account to sell solutions and services along with Oceus products.  This includes client engagement, trade shows, requirements definitions, market awareness and domain knowledge specific to the account.

 

Basic Experience Requirements:

Successful candidates need 5-7 years of experience in support of the DoD in sales, marketing, business development or capture.  Military background is a plus and can be substituted for experience.

 

Basic Skills Requirements:

Must understand budgetary cycles of the US DoD and the impacts of the budget on program spending and mission need requirements of the DoD.  Must display knowledge of the DoD market, along with an understanding of the technologies that Oceus offers and how those technologies solve customer requirements.   Must be able to create an account plan, initiate a call plan and capture new business opportunities.  Able to work with the team in client engagement activities always working towards building value for out clients and the mission they support. 

 

Basic Education Requirements:

Bachelors Degree

 

Security Clearance Requirements:

Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and be willing and able to meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Candidate must have (or must obtain) Secret clearance.

 

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

 

Preferred Experience Requirements:

Successful record managing sales of $10M annually in both services and products.

 

Preferred Skills Requirements:

Keen understanding of the market domain either as member selling into the domain or direct domain experience being a member of the Armed Services or a Federal Civilian supporting that domain.

 

Preferred Education Requirements:

Bachelors Degree, with a course focus in Political Science or a Technical Degree in Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Science

 

Preferred Security Clearance Requirements:

Secret
