Job Description

Our client is seeking a Computer Operations Technician to join their team for a contract position! This is a cross functional role working within the Command Center to provide 1st level support and response of various monitored events and other operational support activities.Hours are 12 hr shifts and must able to work either day or night shift. the shift shift is 7:15 - 7:30. Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat. Thenext week would beSun, Wed, Thurs. Shift is fixed and won't alternate between day and night, but must be able to work either shift. Duration: 6 months Location:Raleigh, NC Job Description: This is a cross functional role working within the Command Center to provide 1st level support and response of various monitored events and other operational support activities. Support the assigned shift to ensure all workstation monitoring areas are covered during the shift (ATM & Network, console monitoring of mainframe & distributed systems, provide incident coordinator support, and provide support to any additional tasks as requested by management). To monitor and operate the mainframe, ATMs, network, and open systems to ensure the online network, operations and batch production schedules are met 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Responsible for the incident management duties, per ITIL framework best practices, with the resolution and/or escalation of incidents to second level support and/or management as appropriate. Assist with workflow and other team members to achieve operational best practices to accomplish departmental objectives, reduce operational risk, improve operational reliability, and meet or exceed service level agreements. To oversee resources hardware and software. Responsible for shift station workflow to achieve departmental objectives and IT service level agreements. Provide after hours and weekend Service Desk support to the IT support staff and business personnel. Responsible for supporting Incident coordinator duties on significant incidents as needed. Must work to support the senior level team lead and others in this role. Must be able to work independently and within a group setting. Required Skills:
