Summary of Role\:

The objective of the internship/Co-Op project is to develop applications that utilizes machine learning algorithms and present actionable insights from extremely large amounts of manufacturing data. Specifically, we are looking for application of unsupervised machine learning algorithms on large amount of defect data to capture anomalies and clusters.

Essential Responsibilities\:



  • Will be expected to innovate and be willing to try different things while driving clear value from unorganized data

  • Will be exposed to state of the art AWS infrastructure and machine learning software packages to analyze this data and will be guided to quantify the application in terms of business impact.

  • Will learn how to manipulate data at large scale and how to efficiently store pattern images in an effective manner as defects are stored in a kind of black and white images with manhattan shapes.

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs



Qualification:

Required Qualifications\:



  • Pursuing a Master's Degree from an Accredited College and or University in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Related Discipline

  • Be able to thrive in an uncertain and fast changing environment with a clear focus on the final goal.

  • Fluency in English Language - (Written & Verbal)

  • Relentless drive to innovate as well as risk taking ability to do things differently.

  • Self-motivated; able to take ownership of assignments, develop work plans and proactively seek feedback to ensure objectives are aligned and met.

  • Statistical background.

  • Working experience in AWS infrastructure such as Sagemaker will be preferred.

  • Experience in developing web based application with strong user interface development skills will be preferred.

  • Comfortable working in UNIX environments, knowledge of UNIX commands.
