Job Description

As the Senior System Administrator, reporting to the Director of IT, you will  supervise the Ops team, manage the current IT infrastructure, and provide key input on all future architecture, systems, and security enhancement strategies.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Persistently monitors the health status of Dell/Client server farm of vSphere and Hyper-V hosts, Azure and AWS services, and a diverse scope of onsite and cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Keeps all hardware and software patched against critical vulnerabilities.
  • Troubleshoots advanced issues including AD, CA, GPO, permissions, DNS, RadiNPS, and other enterprise related issues.
  • Deploys and manages Hyper-V and ESXi VMs, and Linux instances as needed.
  • Continuously optimize images supporting newer client hardware and strive for a 'hands free' end OS/software deployment using Intune, WDS, MDT, WMI/ PowerShell scripting, and group policy.
  • Automate processes when possible, using PowerShell/WMI scripting or otherwise.
  • Veeam backup to on-prem and cloud targets, and restores.
  • 'Security first' mindset focused on EDR solutions, Proofpoint/Barracuda/Palo Alto firewalls and emerging zero trust technologies.
  • Promotes and enforces security policies and procedures.
  • Lansweeper asset management.
  • Assists in maintaining thorough documentation of all systems, procedures, and processes in OneNote.

  REQUIREMENTS:

  • High level understanding of AD Hybrid P2 deployments, O365, Azure EMS (MFA, Intune, Conditional Access policies, AIP), Exchange Online/Hybrid.
  • High level understanding of all Windows client OS and Win Server 2019 (and prior), MS Exchange 2019 (and prior), MS SQL Server 2019 (and prior).
  • Firm understanding of Cisco/Meraki stacked core and access switches, VLANs, Client, 802.1x, VPN, SD-WAN, MPLS and broadband circuits.
  • vSphere v6.7.

  • Regulatory and Compliance experience: HIPAA, CCPA, ISO 27K
  • Familiarity with ITIL fundamentals and concepts.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; MIS/IT technology or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • CompTIA Network+ Certified Professional
  • Microsoft Certified Professional (70-210, 70-215, 70-217)
  • Client ASP a plus
  • Cisco CSE a plus
  • VMWare VSP a plus
