The IT Technician Support Specialist is responsible for supporting IT processes by leveraging technology to assist end users, achieving business goals, and ensuring optimum performance of existing systems. What You Will Do

  • Act as the initial point of contact for all computer and system related concerns from employees and answer queries via phone, email, or helpdesk tickets.
  • Maintain a high degree of customer service and adhere to all service management principles.
  • Take ownership of end user problems and be proactive in finding resolutions.
  • Assist in resolving hardware/software issues for end users.
  • Coordinate with vendors to resolve technical issues with desktops and software.
  • Train and guide staff on hardware and software usage if necessary.
  • Assist management in creating training materials pertaining to computer troubleshooting and usage.
  • Resolve Microsoft Windows (Macintosh a plus) operating system & common productivity application issues.
  • Work on IT projects as directed by management.
  • Assist in technical upgrading and maintaining desktop systems.
  • Install hardware (computers, monitors, servers, UPS, routers, switches, etc.)
  • Manage all equipment and perform periodic inventories as required.
  • Troubleshoot mobile devices and configure new devices.
  • Install and configure computer systems and applications within the company.
  • Ability to create images for desktop and laptops.

What You Will Bring to The Company.

  • College Degree or equivalent, A+ Certification, or 2-4 years of job experience, including helpdesk or ticketing system experience.
  • Microsoft and relevant technical certifications and education desirable.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems, including troubleshooting Microsoft Office and Outlook within a network environment.
  • Experience handling and troubleshooting remote VPN access technology and two-factor authentication.
  • Experience working with networked printers, including installing, troubleshooting, and servicing.
  • Extensive experience working with different operating systems including Windows and Mac OS
  • Extensive experience working with mobile devices including iPhone and Android services and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledgeable with desktop applications and client services on cloud, mobile and traditional desktop configurations.
  • Ability to work independently with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Team-oriented and the ability to effectively work with a collaborative environment.

Environmental Factors:

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Must be able to travel domestically for business (< 10% if needed)
  • Must be willing and able to commute to the East Windsor, NJ office on a regular basis (currently we are in a hybrid model of 50% in office).
  • Covid-19 vaccination required.
