The 3D Printing Fusion Science & Materials Expansion Lab is seeking a motivated materials integration engineer to develop & integrate new materials on the Metal Jet platform

Responsibilities
  • Develop and certify materials on Metal Jet platform
  • Characterize processes and develop insights leading to improved solutions
  • Develop & document necessary test & characterization methods to evaluate materials performance
  • Collaborate with external materials and application partners enable robust solutions
  • Partner with internal product management, applications, and engineering teams to define optimized solutions
  • Communicate with stakeholders project progress and issue resolution


Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's (undergraduate) or higher degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or similar.


Knowledge and Skills
  • Metals processing, heat treatment & characterization
  • Process and/or manufacturing engineering
  • Experimental design & statistical data analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at management levels.
