The Vulnerability Assessment Security Analyst reports to the Manager, Vulnerability Management within the CISO organization. The position is responsible for conducting scans of hosts, databases, and applications across the Perspecta corporate infrastructure.



The Vulnerability Assessment Security Analyst will be responsible for:


-Using tools, reporting, and remediation for several heritage companies across Perspecta.


-Conducting regular and frequent scans.


-Generating and understanding reports generated by tools.


-Providing input toward prioritizing vulnerabilities for remediation action and collaborating with appropriate team members.



Candidate must have a strong foundation of ports and protocols, patching cycles, and knowledge of common widespread vulnerabilities.







-Bachelors Degree plus 2-4 years of related experience required


-At least 2 years of experience supporting vulnerability assessment activities on multiple platforms required


-Experience supporting government customers or contractors desired.


-Experience implementing a vulnerability assessment tool desired.


-Experience with tools such as or similar to Tenable Nessus Security Center and/or Nexpose Rapid 7 is required.


-Experience with web and application vulnerability scanners.


-Experience with secure code reviews using tools similar to Fortify, desired.


-Experience/understanding of NIST cybersecurity controls and frameworks.


-Technical and product certifications are a plus.
