Director of IT Business Development (Public Sector/Commercial)

Position Description
CGI is seeking a Director of IT Business Development (Public Sector/Commercial) to join our team!

Looking for you to win new accounts and grow existing accounts in the Northwest (Sacramento and Seattle) area.

Manage the sales lifecycle and providing delivery oversight for a portfolio of accounts.

Requires experience with business development, proposal management and bid strategy, as well as, experience with digital transformation technologies and solutions and existing relationships with clients and technology firms within the Sacramento market a huge plus!

This full-time career opportunity is in the Sacramento County area.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Leverage your professional and personal network to introduce CGI to local client prospects
• Develop a strong pipeline of opportunities with new and existing accounts
• Lead proposals and evolve solution offerings
• Lead a team of professionals - both direct reports and via global delivery
• Ensure success of engagements using global delivery and vendor partners
• Manage client satisfaction in partnership with account management teams
• Contribute to business strategy and budget planning
• Manage profitability of engagements
• Integration of product and services
• Price to Win strategies

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• 10+ years IT Consulting Services experience with a minimum of 3 years' experience in business development, architecting and driving winning new business opportunities
• Strong ties to the Sacramento public sector and/or commercial community with the ability to engage with key decision makers on the client side
• Business acumen with solid understanding of budgets, forecasting, planning, P&L's, and complex pricing models
• Business development including strategic sales planning.
• Experience and success selling to State and local government
• Client engagement management and relationship building
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to write proposals and deliver executive presentations
• Proven record of closing deals > $5M
• Strong decision making, judgment and analytical skills; skilled in developing and executing on pursuit strategies
