The Systems Engineer is responsible for on-site installation, maintenance and repair of company and multi-vendor systems which include hardware, software, and operating systems. This position ensures customer satisfaction by advising on preventive maintenance and configurations which may impact product performance.
Provide technical planning, implementation, configuration, support and troubleshooting services on one or more of product lines or service groups we sponsor.
Analyze complex systems problems and implement solutions. Seek and recommend alternative processes to improve service delivery to the customer in a cost effective way.
Configure, install, and maintain software and hardware. Troubleshoot equipment such as servers, storage, and virtualization technologies.
Create documentation for both internal use and customer deliverables. Produce complete system requirements and/or specifications as appropriate.
Keep up-to-date with changes in technology (i.e. attend conferences or training, complete vendor provided trainings, review/study technical journals)
3-5+ years of work experience with Windows Server, including server hardware and administering systems infrastructure (virtualization, storage, active directory, exchange)
Experience with Citrix and/or VMware VDI required
Experience with MS Azure, MS SCCM, and O365 preferred
Industry certifications are a plus
