Senior Database Administrator
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Database Administrator in Plano, Texas on a Direct Hire basis.

Senior Database Administrator Role:
The ideal Senior Database Administrator candidate will have experience providing Database Architecture to current Data Warehouse to solve current user, vendor, and customer requirements and plan to utilize business intelligence, predictive analytics and other future technologies and database schemas
This role will collaborate with the Business Analyst and end users to identify business and technology requirements as well as provide daily technical support and problem resolutions
The ideal candidate would have experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies. Experience with these tools would help with the delivery on requirements, executing development and tests, mitigating risks, and to plan for success
Monitoring system performance, provide performance tuning, capacity monitoring and identify problems before end users experience degradation of services
Work closely with QA team to identify improvements in Data Validation and have experience in writing and troubleshooting complex storage procedures
Identify system improvements, including process, system and report automations- also, developing the customized customer portal
Administer security to customer portal and data warehouse; protect databases against threats and unauthorized access
System environment (softwares and programs used): NetSuite ERP, Azure cloud, DEVOPS, SQL Servers (2017) Fivetran Data Integration, Looker BI, Smartsheet, Laserfiche, Phaseware, Salesforce


Senior Database Administrator Background Profile:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar technical discipline or equivalent experience
Certification for database administration from an accredited board
5+ years of extensive database administration is preferred
Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills that translate to business users and IT team members
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Highly motivated, hands-on and results-oriented
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
