API Support Engineer Indicative JD
7-10 years total experience and atleast 4 years in Operations Support role (Supporting API gateways or related platforms)
Prior hands-on experience in API management platforms, such as CA API Gateway or the Software AG webMethods API Gateway product; along with experience implementing oAuth, Open ID Connect (OIDC) and API related activities such as: requirement analysis, solution architecture and design, building API policies and assertions.
Prior experience with creating and maintaining design documentation including use cases and sequence diagrams.
Provide routine administration including patching, deploying software, implementing changes, and server configuration.
Knowledge configuring & maintaining API Gateway virtual appliances.
Familiar with using REST API to integrate the API Gateway with other processes (Axiomatics PDP, TEWS, etc.). Familiar with using the Gateway Migration Utilities
Strong troubleshooting skills in the API Management and Gateway space (Custom API Gateways or OEM products such as Apigee).
Infrastructure build and maintenance, Gateway setup, Oauth configuration
Knowledge on Policy creation/Template development and operational support
(Node.js, Python Nice to Have)
Strong understanding of UNIX operating systems and Shell Scripting
Experience with CICD Tools (Jenkins, GitHub)
Good understanding of REST API and JSON
Knowledge of existing API Testing Tools (Postman, SoapUI, or any equivalent tools)
Experience in designing and implementing API platform for high traffic API solutions
Experience with Customer Management APIs and integration to the enterprise systems including Infrastructure & Application monitoring, Approval, Authorization and Authentication, Logging, and Continuous integration/Continuous Deploy (CI/CD), and Developer Portal, etc.
Prior experience with database (SQL Server/Oracle/MySQL/MongoDB/Cassandra) is a plus.
Knowledge of Splunk platform Logging and Monitoring
Knowledge of PCF
Apply best practices in functional areas related to Implementation and Operations Management
Maintain ownership of tasks and/or project workstreams
Perform analysis to diagnose client issues as well as the assessment of client issue analyses
Provide strong subject matter expertise to the tasks or workstreams you support
