The Data Governance Lead, reports to Head of Data Governance, and is primarily responsible for supporting the first line Data Governance function across the Bank. The position assists with the development of data management strategies, policy, standards and capabilities. The incumbent drives data governance; advocates and promotes bank wide data management vision, strategy and transparency of data health.
This position must have an understanding of audit and regulatory findings affecting their Data Governance-related areas, along with the respective business owners, including the impact of such findings on the state of controls.
Execute upon the bank wide Data Governance road map.
Drive adoption of Data Governance program, including the roll out of data governance roles and responsibilities across the Bank.
Develop data dictionaries and document data lineage in various 1st line areas.
Conduct Data Quality control testing and Data Quality sample testing.
** Drive and manage the Data Quality Issue Remediation program - Identify problems with data quality by running regular checks and troubleshoot root cause of data quality issues as they arise and work with technology partners to correct.
Bachelor's degree required
Relevant regulatory, compliance, operational and financial experience with data governance & analytics.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in data governance, data quality, or systems architecture.
