Accounting Manager



GDH Consulting has partnered with a financial institution adding to their Accounting Management Team. The Accounting Manager coordinates and oversees the daily operations of the Accounting team by establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles. The Accounting Manager is responsible for a variety of accounting responsibilities, including but not limited to Pre-Paid Expenses, Accruals, Depreciation, Funds Allocation; ALCO reports, investment activities and preparing various government and bank-required reports and does so in an accurate and timely manner in order to file required reports, optimize cash positions and contribute to achieving the Bank's financial and service objectives. The Accounting Manager is expected to work well with others and maintain courteous and professional communications with co-workers and customers.



Responsibilities:


Performs or provides assistance with various accounting functions, such as General Ledger review, Pre-Paid Expenses, Accruals, Depreciation, Funds Allocation, Interbank Liabilities Analysis, Terms in Lending Survey, Sales Tax, Summary of Deposits; ALCO reports and Investment activities such as balancing and managing the Investment Portfolio; maintaining pledging requirements for Public Funds, weekly FR 2900 Report, completing the monthly Liquidity Report and FHLB QCD Report in accordance with federal regulation and within limits of authority and does so in an accurate and timely manner in order to ensure the accuracy and completion of the Bank's investments, accounting and other required government reporting.


Performs Quarterly Call Report duties, Quarterly FRY8, Semi Annual FRY9SP, and related reports in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance with government regulations and Bank policy and procedures in order to ensure the accuracy and completion of the required government reporting.


Assists with branch mergers and the cost allocation for Market Accountability by branch in order to ensure quality growth and profitability.


Develops and maintains a personal program for maintaining an adequate level of personal skill and knowledge in auditing matters; also demonstrates personal and interpersonal behavior, attitude, judgment, communication and initiative with customers and employees in order to ensure an acceptable degree of performance.



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS <st1:personname w:st="on">AND ABILITIES


Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or equivalent educational experience.


Knowledge of accounting as it relates to financial institutions and regulatory requirements; Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP) and banking laws and regulations.


Three-plus years of accounting-related experience or equivalent educational experience.


Excellent interpersonal, verbal, & written communication skills.
