Job Description

Emergent is seeking a dynamic and personable entry level sales professional to generate new business leads in a fast-paced business environment.  This internal call team receives extensive sales training and will gain valuable experience in technology licensing sales.  The Sales Development Team offers an excellent opportunity for career development and internal promotions. 


As an Adobe Sales Development Representative you will support sales goals through effective sales techniques and quality customer service by performing the following duties. 



  • Research the market for new sales leads 
  • Attend technology events 
  • Drive new sales opportunities to sales force 
  • Maintains existing customer base 
  • Assist in sales and marketing projects  
  • Assists Supervisor and Sales Representatives (reports, tasks pertaining to team initiatives) 
  • Utilize existing customer base and Generate leads through call Blitz’s and promotional marketing campaigns that coincide with company initiatives.  
  • Supports sales team’s efforts to win business through competitive sales techniques and knowledge of the company's products and services as well as the competition's strengths/weaknesses. (Responds to RFQ’s and assist sales cycle through completion) 
  • Provide administrative support to team, as well as other projects as needed. (entering Opps, reports and booking deals for tenured reps) 
  • Maintains updated, organized files on all accounts in assigned territory.  
  • Contacts customers via telephone, correspondence or in person as frequently as necessary to meet and surpass sales goals for the team. (Provides information and/or follow up on customer as requested)  
  • Answer incoming sales calls via telephone, written inquiries and facsimile requests. 
  • Promote and effectively sell company products and supplies using established company sales techniques. 
  • Clarify and fulfill customer requests/needs by presenting various selections of products and services providing pricing information as requested. 
  • Understand and respond to customer delivery needs by interfacing with internal personnel. 
  • Understand and support established sales policies and procedures to provide proper and effective treatment to customers. 
  • Relate new product ideas and product extensions to management for evaluation. 
  • Emphasize saleable services of products to include quality and ability to meet customer specifications. 
  • Process all paperwork for orders to include sales contracts, prints and related documentation. 
  • Resolve customer concerns in an expeditious and tactful manner.  

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree required - Strongly preferred majors are Business, Communications, Digital Media or Arts, IT, Marketing, or similar fields. 
  • Ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes pride in their work. 
  • Ability to work well within a team. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Attentive to detail and organized. 
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills. 
  • Candidate must exhibit timeliness and reliability.
