The candidate will provide analytical and business intelligence in joining a team of Data Stewards responsible in managing and governing Master Data in SAP to support business processes across Dell’s Global Manufacturing and Supply Chain Operations. The scope spans across the Planning, Purchasing, Production, Sales Order Fulfillment and Foreign Trade functions.
With data being integral in all business applications, this candidate must be passionate about Data Quality and Data Governance and be capable of analyzing, interpreting, and maintaining data while creating audit tools, leading projects and driving root cause corrective actions. The candidate should have the ability to deliver ad-hoc data report requests, develop, run and prepare various statistical analyses and reports based on both internal and external data sources and will utilize various software packages and tools for collecting, mining, interpreting and reporting data.
This Team Member should possess SAP technical expertise and have an understanding of how the Material Master is core to how SAP operates. The candidate should have a solid understanding of basic SAP Material Master Principles, including items such as material types, material views, extending materials for use during the build and fulfillment processes and also configuring materials for procurement, build/assembly and sale. Knowledge around managing workflow within SAP PLM/CENIT and using bulk load capabilities to accelerate the creation and update of materials are also key attributes.
Excellent communication skills and program management skills are key traits needed as this candidate will be working closely with team members from many business functions and collaborate with them on how data needs to be set based on how materials are expected to behave to meet specified business use cases. This candidate will be assigned to projects that can require SAP Master Data expertise on new materials that are created to support sellable and non-sellable materials in preparation for launch of New Product Introductions at our defined supply chain factories or required to represent our SAP expertise on strategic IT integration projects. The candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to accomplish goals with minimal guidance. They must also have a sense of urgency and the proven ability to deliver results. Role Responsibilities
-Familiar with New Product Lifecycle Management and general Manufacturing and Supply Chain Operations
-Understands the required master data attributes and the timing of how they will be applied across the new product introduction lifecycle
-Develop tools to support the many Master Data Attribute use cases as they will apply to new product introductions
-Formulates conclusions and provides summary analysis and interpretation for leadership
-Consults with business to identify new reports or data needs to support business decisions
-Simplifies and standardizes reports at regular intervals
-Designs, drives and implements reporting and conducts trending analysis / root cause analysis to support the business
-Defines and determines operational metrics definitions from a global perspective
-Lead the development and analysis of key metrics and statistics to optimize efficiency of operational resources
-Document and create training and procedural documents
-Collaborates with other groups
-Analyzes and provides feedback to help improve processes and monitors industry trends Requirements -
5+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or 3 years with a Master's degree
-3+ years of Master Data Experience within a Tier 1 ERP System (SAP, Oracle, Baan, JD Edwards)
-SAP Material Master Data Management (MDM); SAP Supply Chain Management (SCM); SAP Advanced Planning Optimization (APO); SAP Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
-Informatica Enterprise Information Quality; Winshuttle Lean Data Management; ServiceNow Incident Management; Tableau, SQL, Business Data Warehouse and Business Objects (BObj)
-Knowledge of New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycles, manufacturing, supply chain and engineering business processes
-Great leadership skills, communication skills, and problem solving skills
-Project Management Skills; Has an analytical mindset and is detail oriented; Ability to prioritize projects and deliverables Preferences
