Agile Coach

Position Description
CGI is looking for an Agile Coach with Agile and Scrum and a strong focus on delighting customers.

The ideal candidate can take the team within our client engagement on a successful change and training to accept common IT delivery processes and roles within the client organization, with a focus on Agile, Scrum, and a Hybrid approach. Additional focus areas are with improving agility, ability to interpret and intervene in the undercurrent (environment, demeanor, and behaviors) of organizations.

Role can be performed in either Cary, NC (preferred) or New York, NY

Your future duties and responsibilities
Understand client side SDLC program objectives and business outcomes.

Ability to settle the approach and execution model for training coordination, delivery and support for multiple regions.

Provide hands-on training, coaching, guidance, and support to all members of the SAFe team.

Blended learning approach to SAFe & Scale Agile training.

Training success measures.

Establish forums to drive standard processes across the organization, share lessons learned, successes, and tips, etc.

Support revision of training based on periodic reviews of projects and adherence to our delivery framework.

To mentorship on client delivery framework to project teams to promote improvements in delivery framework adherence.

Conduct periodic reviews of projects to gauge adherence to delivery framework.

You will act as a trusted advisor to organizations and Agile teams throughout their Lean-Agile transformation.

You are expected to coach across the program layer (e.g., breakdown of epic to features, stand up of systems teams, product management, etc.) and to maintain portfolio and team level execution alignment.

Coach between 2 to 6 teams and you will provide direction and help to coaches across multiple teams.

We will expect you to lead workshops & training sessions to educate individuals on Agile values, principles, and practices, in particular as relates to the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

You will mentor and pair with change agents and partners within client organizations on becoming true Lean-Agile champions and developing lasting Agile capabilities.

You will coach teams on how to set up and use different clients' agile project management tools for epic/feature/stories and inward and outward reporting.

We will want you to provide feed back and support Agile & DevOps practice initiatives.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- 10+ years of IT experience.

- 5+ years of agile coaching experience, including programs with offshore and distributed teams.

- 2+ years of experience within SAFe enterprise as a SAFe Program Consultant - Coach.

- Experience coaching in highly matrixed organizations including highly diverse technology environments (e.g., Java, .Net, Mainframe, Cloud Services, etc.)

- Mentor one or more Release Trains or coaching programs.

- Excellent facilitation and written and verbal skills.

- Test Automation Experience

- Official Agile Coach certificate, ICAgile-Agile Certified Coaching, SAFe Program Consultant, equivalent.

- Experience with several agile project management tools (Jira, VersionOne, Rally, Kanban etc)

- Ability to present analysis and findings in business context. Experience working with a cross-functional team to implement key strategic project improvements.

- Depending upon the need, ability to act in different capacities for various tasks and projects.

- Foundational skills Scrum Masters need to enable effective Agile teams and become the servant-leader who removes impediments, insulate from distractions, and implement the subject area of Agile values and principles.

- Fundamentals of effective Product Ownership on an Agile team including principles of Agile, how to use the product backlog as a tool for driving successful product outcomes and ways of working.

Educational Requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Related Field
