Job Title: Mainframe Lead Capacity/Performance Engineer

Specific Required Skills:
Infrastructure engineer with a minimum of 8-10 years experience supporting IBM zOS Systems in a SYSPLEX environment with:
a) 8+ years of IBM z/OS capacity planning experience
b) Proficient with RMF, RMF Tools and Monitor III usage and functions, SMF, and system monitors to perform z/OS and subsystem performance and capacity analysis.
c) Required excellent knowledge in SAS and MXG, statistical and analytical skills. AIX/NMON desirable, especially from MXG. Very desirable running SAS/MXG from Windows or other non-Z platform.
d) Knowledge of configuring and trouble-shooting IBM WLM (service classes, reporting classes, performance goals, capacity capping, and velocities, etc..)
e) Experience in MQ, CICS, DB2, and DB2 distributed
f) Experience in TMON or other mainframe z/OS system monitors
g) Working knowledge of network communication protocols (TCPIP)
h) Excellent knowledge of hardware infrastructure IBM z13, EMC/VMAX, DLM and HCD.
i) Experienced in analytical modeling like IBM zPCR , zCP3000, BMC CMM Predict or or other modeling tools.
j) Business application workload sizing and capacity forecasting
k) Lead/participate in resolution of complex z/OS problems
l) Strong skills to effectively communicate complex technology solutions across diverse audiences including technical, managerial, business executives, and vendors.
