Together with F5, our combined solution bridges the gap between NetOps and DevOps, with multi-cloud application services that span from code to customer.
The NGINX Application Platform enables enterprises undergoing digital transformation to modernize legacy, monolithic applications, as well as deliver new, microservices based applications. Companies like Netflix, Starbucks, and McDonalds rely on NGINX to reduce costs, improve resiliency, and speed innovation.
The NGINX Business Unit at F5 is searching for talented and passionate team members who can lead our agile teams, called squads, in a hybrid role we call a Squad Leader . A squad leader is a position that brings together the disciplines of Program Management, Scrum Master and a little Product Owner into a single role that strives to enable teams to deliver high quality software solutions in a fast-paced, agile, startup-like environment. This role is empowered to advocate for the squad and own and drive squad delivery. If you love to see the big picture come together and your passion is empowering teams to deliver high quality software solving real customer problems, then this is the place for you.
The NGNIX Business Unit of F5 is working in an adaptive agile model where we draw from several methodologies, continuously inspect, adapt and improve our own processes. We believe in ownership and team empowerment and this role is critical to both. We believe in the principles and mindset that agility brings to teams and the alignment to F5 Behaviors of speed, ownership, inclusion, diversity, customer focus and helping each other thrive.
The mission of the squad leader is to coordinate between all other functions in the squad and to drive the product development process. A squad leader owns and drives the squad. You are their advocate, and constantly working to make sure they can be successful. You keep your eye on the big picture and help make sure the team members can as well. A Squad Leader collaborates regularly with development leaders, software and quality engineers, architects, Product Managers, and VPs. The squad leader oversees the product development process by ensuring the projects undertaken in the squad are well-defined, projects are aligned with the roadmap, stories are well-defined, the backlog is groomed and prioritized, sprints are planned based on the backlog, sprints are started/completed on time, daily standups are held, and that any issues raised are promptly resolved.
