As an 
Android Software Engineer   for our  VitalSource Technologies (VST)  team in Boston, MA, you would be able to enhance and build Android application solutions for students and instructors around the world and play a part in leading this booming revolution in the educational technology industry!  This role will perform development and maintenance of the Vital Source Bookshelf Android Application.

Main Responsibilities for Success: 
  • Develop and modify external facing software Android applications with assistance from Senior and Lead Engineers.
  • Work with our design and product teams to build cutting edge new features for students.
  • Provide full application development life cycle support, including prototypes, development, quality assurance and deployment.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external users as needed to support channel integration, development and support.
  • Make product recommendations.

Minimum Qualifications

We would like our talented associate for this role to have at least these minimum skills & experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR year for year related experience OR have completed an intensive coding boot camp with an area software school.
  • 2+ years of software development experience which can include school experience, internships, externships, boot camps, and post graduate projects

Preferred Qualifications

We’ll be excited to hear about your previous and current projects in areas such as:

  • Full-stack web development
  • Experience writing C++, Swift or Objective C
  • Deploying apps using Docker
  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM development environments
