RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Leverage advanced-level engineering knowledge and relationships to support regional accounts with a significant impact on software revenue.
  • Help customers to solve complex engineering problems using ANSYS software products.
  • Provide technical pre-sales support throughout the entire sales process.
  • Lead/assist in coordinating and executing all technical activities throughout the sales opportunity such as customer meetings and product presentations, demonstrations, and evaluations.
  • Analyze technical needs, requirements, and state of a customers' current infrastructure, operations, and engineering workflows.
  • Create and demonstrate simulation solutions to streamline customer workflows, in support of the software sales process.
  • Participate in internal corporate initiatives to further enhance the solution suites, presales/sales enablement and professional growth.
  • Articulate ANSYS's value proposition, which may encompass its entire suite of products.
  • Instruct introductory and/or intermediate training classes on the usage of ANSYS products.
  • Create elegant and useful solutions to solve complex business problems by working across various teams and understanding the needs of our customers


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field of study, and three (3) years of experience in a related position.
  • Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.
  • Work experience or academic coursework must have included:
    • Experience using ANSYS or other commercial CAE, CAD, or EDA software;
    • Experience with low frequency devices or electrical system design and simulation;
    • Knowledge of electric machines/motors and drives, power electronics, actuators/sensors, magnetic sensors/transformers, and wireless power transfer devices;
    • Experience with automotive, industrial, or power distribution electrical/electromechanical systems;
    • Experience analyzing power loss in an electric machine including, core loss, winding loss, skin effects, end effects, and permanent magnet losses; and
    • Experience in the implementation of geometric design for efficiency.
