Job Description

Position: Application Analyst

Position Type: Perm

This position will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the Power Delivery/Vegetation Management System and its associated software applications. The successful candidate will work in a team environment that includes other technology departments and business partners to identify and develop effective solutions to meet and exceed evolving business requirements.

Other duties will include:

·      Subject matter expert for the Power Delivery Vegetation Management Solution – application, business process, data, workflow, reporting, etc.

·      Performing systems and data analysis

·      Document and deliver solutions

·      Application monitoring and troubleshooting

·      Recommend and implement solutions to address business opportunities

·      Work closely with the Power Delivery business unit to identify application enhancements to improve business processes



Educational Requirements 

·      Four-year degree strongly preferred. Major in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical field preferred


Experience Requirements

·      Power Delivery experience either directly or in a support role desired

·      Experience supporting vendor applications

·      Programming experience with C# or other object-oriented programming language desired

·      Conversant in relational databases

·      Relevant experience working with n-tiered applications in relational databases

·      Possess a solid understanding of technical environments and software methods

·      Customer service experience either directly or in a support role desired


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

·      Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required 

·      Must be able to manage production support and project related activities simultaneously 

·      Excellent communication skills

·      Ability to establish and maintain quality relationships with TO peers and management, vendors, and internal customer groups 

·      Risk assessment/mitigation skills

·      Strong commitment to projects and peers



·      Candidate must be available for after hours on-call support as needed
