Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Cyber Software Engineer 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located at Columbia, MD. Roles and Responsibilities:
Perform as a software engineer on a large agile team transitioning a mission-critical product from a Windows baseline to a Linux baseline
Work independently on complex tasks, both design and implementation
Design software architectures for distributed systems
Introduce new patterns, practices, techniques, or other contributions to a development team with a focus on increasing team productivity
Develop asynchronous, distributed systems in a modern software development stack NGCIMSMD Basic Qualifications:
Two (2) years of experience in development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software/system development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, and testing of complex hardware/software systems.
Experience working in an agile framework
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related STEM field may be substituted for two (2) years experience. A Master's degree in a Technical Field will be considered equivalent to four (4) years experience. Security Clearance:
Active TS/SCI with polygraph is required. Preferred Qualifications:
Familiar with the software development process described in the J-STD-016 and IEEE/EIA 12207, "Information technology-Software life cycle processes" and possesses at least one (l) year of experience developing software in accordance with these standards OR requirements analysis, modeling and measurement.
Developing documentation required to support a program's technical issues and training situations.
Basic understanding of Object Oriented and Structured development methodologies and languages.
Understanding of agile and/or spiral development models.
