Join us and start doing your life's best work.(sm) In this Associate Engineering Manager role, you will be responsible for the development, communication and implementation of the project's technology architecture, including the components required to support it and in the integration of corporate and business architecture and applications.Primary Responsibilities: Design, implement and maintain .Net application within all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)Develop, test, implement and maintain application software working with established processesCommunicate effectively with other engineers and QAEstablish, refine and integrate development and test environment tools and software as neededIdentify production and non-production application issuesIdentify opportunities to fine-tune and optimize applications of .Net developed projectsProvide technical support and consultation for .Net application and infrastructure questionsServe as a mentor to less experienced DevelopersDefine and drive improvements in the overall quality including automation, code coverage and inspection processes

Required Qualifications: B.Tech / MCA / Msc / MTech (Minimum 16 years of formal education, Correspondence courses are not relevant)8-10 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing and delivering commercial application softwareExposure to complete software product lifecycle encompassing requirements analysis, prototyping, architecture, design, development, testing and deploymentExperience in providing technical guidance and inculcating engineering best practices within development teamsExperience creating version management strategy and working knowledge of version control systems like TFS/GitHub/SVNExperience conducting design and code reviewsExperience working in teams following Agile development methodologies (Iterative, Scrum, SAFe, Kanban)Ability to independently troubleshoot problems and zero in on the likely root causesProficiency in applying object-oriented principles and recommended design patterns to create robust and scalable system designsStrong experience developing web applications on the .NET platform (C#, C++, ASP.NET, MVC, Entity Framework, Web Services, Azure)Strong knowledge of RDBMS and experience working with SQL Server/OracleSound knowledge and experience of unit testing methodologies and frameworks (e.g. MOQ)Fundamental knowledge of algorithms and data structuresSound understanding of basic operating system and networking conceptsExcellent communication skillsAssertive leadership qualitiesOwnership and accountability for the assigned tasksExcellent team player and collaboratorHyper proactive in identifying and escalating potential risks and impedimentsPreferred Qualifications:MCSD (Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer) certificationExperience in implementing DevOps within teamsKnowledge of US Healthcare domainContribution to Open Source projectTechnology Careers with Optum.
