The Astrodynamics Department performs a wide range of orbit design and analyses to shape the future of the U.S. space enterprise. We help our customers invent new capabilities and develop some of our nation's most critical space missions. We develop and employ modeling and simulation capabilities for rendezvous and proximity operations, formation flight, constellation design, coverage analysis, space debris environments, space protection tactics, novel applications in cislunar space, and more.

What You'll be Doing:

  • Advise key stakeholders and government customers by performing a range of modeling, simulation, and analysis in the focus areas of constellation design and optimization, coverage analysis, conceptual mission design, and enhancing the resilience of other mission areas in the space enterprise architecture
  • Develop and present timely and technically accurate briefings and reports that clearly communicate analysis results and provide recommended solutions, supporting critical decisions in collaboration with technical leads, management, and customers
  • Expand the department's analysis capabilities by advancing the evolution of analysis tools/workflows and by mentoring/training new analysts
  • Support the development and maturation of analysis software tools
  • Occasional travel as necessary to support customer analysis needs.
