Job Description

Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate need for Audio Visual Engineer who can work onsite in Baltimore, MD.

The Audio Visual Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, testing, installation and support of moderately complex audio/visual systems in a variety of facility environments.
The systems include conference rooms, auditoriums, portable set-ups, sound and projection systems, video conferencing, etc.
The Audio Visual Systems Engineer should be familiar and have a working knowledge of AutoCAD, cable database programs, and the design of video, audio, control, LAN and communications systems.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Develops audio visual designs that meet customer functional and budgetary requirements.
Generates functional and connection-level drawings for audio, video, control and communications systems.
Generates equipment lists, prepares purchase requisitions and monitors the ordering of A/V equipment and materials.
Coordinates the requirements, integration and installation of A/V control system programs.
Installs A/V equipment and/or supports vendors with the installation of A/V equipment.
Troubleshoots and debugs A/V systems.
Completes training programs from manufacturers, industry associations and the client as required.
Complies with all client's standards and policies.

At least four (4) years of work experience designing and installing audio visual systems.
Demonstrated experience conducting site surveys.
Demonstrated experience with control systems, video-conferencing, switching hardware, etc.
- Hands on Experience with other technologies such as smart-boards, public address audio systems and independent video camera systems.

Strong attention to details.
Ability to read and understand construction drawings (architectural, mechanical and electrical systems) and related documentation.
Fluent in use of AutoCad, Visio and other Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Working knowledge of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, addressing, firewalls, routers, V-lans, VPN, Wi-Fi, etc.

High School Degree or equivalent required;
Associate Degree and/or related Technical Degree preferred.
