Our client is currently seeking a Audit Manager
This job will have the following responsibilities:
* ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Responsible for day-to-day management of relations with the prime contractor and the audit client.
Assist in the performance of a full-scope financial statement audit, to include:
First-line preparation of planning, internal control, testing and reporting phase workpapers across various business processes.
Management and supervision of Senior Associate and Associate team members, including direction, review, comments/revisions, and coaching tasks.
Assistance with the determination and execution of the strategy for the audit, to include materials, testing and audit plans, and approach for material line items.
Documentation of workpapers in accordance with auditing standards and client security requirements.
Administrative and other tasks, as assigned.
Perform engagement management responsibilities, including performance reviews, task delegation, project scheduling, project financials, quality review and client management.
Meet or exceed sales targets for new and follow-on work.
Manage business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.
Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
Act as performance manager (coach) for up to four coachees outside of engagement responsibilities.
Interview campus and/or experienced candidates.
Top Secret Clearance required.
Experience executing full-scope financial statement audits. DOD or Intel accounting or audit experience preferred.
Familiarity with GAO FAM, Yellow Book Auditing standards, and AICPA and FASAB Accounting Guidance.
Basic project management skills to include budgeting, planning, personnel management, etc.
Experience w/MS Office suite.
Use of Teammate workpaper management system and ACL data analysis software.
Other FM, accounting, or audit readiness experience will be consider.
Bachelor's Degree required from an accredited college or university in a related field.
Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
Travel may be required.
Coach and mentor junior staff members.
Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
