Cloud Systems Engineer
The Cloud Systems Engineer serves as the cloud and software technical interface between the customer/partner, and is critical in managing the Azure cloud environment, assisting with knowledge transfer, customer onboarding, systems security, technical feature design/support, and overall platform knowledge. The Cloud Systems Engineer will work with the development team and partners to develop, understand and connect integrations and features between platforms. The Cloud Systems Engineer utilizes a wide array of software and integration skills and technologies to accomplish implementation tasks and overall project objectives. Skills include provisioning and maintaining virtual servers, SaaS applications, Azure services, enterprise software installation/configuration, scripting, macro/query writing, software troubleshooting/debugging, business analysis, and project management.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :
At least 3-5 years of experience in designing and managing multi-tenant cloud environments.
Experience with scripting and automation.
Experience configuring and supporting cloud storage technologies.
Proficient experience with Active Directory and Azure Active Directory.
Proven experience with protecting and securing cloud-based/multi-tenant infrastructure.
Experience facilitating root cause analysis for system issues
Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision, and excellent time management.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
MCSE, MCSD, or equivalent experience is desired.
Ability to serve as platform administrator.
Collaborate and lead development of user interface/user experience (UI/UX) design of platform, work with the business team and product owners to build and ship new features and enhancements.
Hands on development and testing, contributing in the development and commercialization of the platform.
Collaborate with customers and third party partners on the integration process, plan and needs assessment.
Work with and support third party partners to deliver Device Driver functionality to meet project timelines.
Partner with software development team during system platform development, testing, and debugging.
A member of first line of support during integration and deployment.
Manage full-cycle customer integration projects.
Mandatory Qualifications, Inclusive of Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Development or equivalent degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 4 years' experience in software development including UI/UX design
Minimum 2 years' experience in cloud systems engineering
Experience with delivery roles in a project, team or scrum environment with customer facing responsibilities including pre-sales support, project management, release planning, and source code management
Proven experience with administration within Microsoft Azure.
Experience working with Windows and Linux platforms, including design, security, analysis and application improvement
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Technical advisory or consulting experience with sales team &/or customers
Familiarity with Machine Learning (ML), Internet of Things (IoT), Business Intelligence (BI) solutions.
Possess and keep apprised of current technological developments within the industry
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Solid organizational and prioritization skills
Ability to travel up to 30%
Preferred Qualifications, Inclusive of Education:
Experience with Microsoft Azure IoT Hub is preferred.
